What to Expect with Nissan Going into 2022

Nissan has a lot for us to look forward to as we head into the new year. In addition to the all-new 2022 Ariya open for reservations, and Nissan being named Best Car Lineup by Newsweek, many of the brand’s key models are getting updates as well as new and advanced features.


2022 Nissan Kicks

The 2022 Kicks offers a long list of the standard and available features that have helped attract young, enthusiastic new buyers to both the mid-size SUV and the Nissan brand. Younger buyers expect technology to help keep them connected, so Kicks features standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on all 2022 Kicks trim levels, as well as available NissanConnect Services – a suite of convenience and security features that includes an available WiFi hotspot, remote vehicle commands like keyless entry, and safety features including Automatic Collision Notification.

2022 Nissan Murano

  • Nissan’s flagship crossover combines premium style and features, adds new Midnight Edition Package for 2022

  • Offers standard Nissan Safety Suite 360 technology on all trims

  • Standard 260-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, advanced Xtronic transmission, available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive

  • Available Bose audio system with 11 speakers, including dual subwoofers

The Midnight Edition package in the 2022 Murano includes a blackout front grille, lower fascia, exterior trim and special gloss black 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Also for the new model year – the Murano SV trim adds standard leatherette seating surfaces and heated front seats.

Murano’s engaging “social lounge” feeling interior includes features such as advanced Zero Gravity front and outboard rear seating, and available Power Panoramic Moonroof. Standard on all trims is Nissan Connect with an 8.0-inch color display with multi-touch control.

2022 Nissan Altima

For 2022, a special Midnight Edition Package for the Altima is available on the Altima SR. This package includes LED fog lights, heated front seats, 2-way driver lumbar, single panel moonroof, gloss black painted sport grille, gloss black painted spoiler, and black painted heated outside mirrors with LED turn signal indicators.

Standard on all trims is a 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder direct injection engine rated at 199 horsepower, while the optional 2.0-liter VC-Turbo incline 4-cylinder is rated at 236 horsepower. Both engine configurations come equipped with a standard Xtronic transmission.

2022 Nissan Maxima

According to Car and Driver, the 2022 Maxima is great for those who prefer a sedan, but need that extra space for passengers and appreciate the comfort of a larger car. Every Maxima is powered by a 300-horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine and Xtronic transmission.

2022 Nissan Rogue

For 2022, the Rogue will feature Nissan’s all-new 1.5-liter VC Turbo engine, which will make it more powerful and fuel-efficient than ever before. The new powertrain delivers 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque – an increase of 11 percent and 24 percent respectively of the previous model. Even with the increased power, the 2022 Rogue’s estimated fuel economy is 33 mpg combined.

2022 Nissan Sentra

  • Nissan’s popular compact sedan adds Midnight Edition Package for the 2022 Sentra SR

  • Sentra SV offers a new All-Weather Package

  • Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 across all trims – gives the 2022 Sentra most standard safety features in its class

  • Comes standard with fuel-efficient 149-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and is available in S, SV, and SR trims

The 2022 Nissan Sentra Midnight Edition Package includes black-painted V-motion grille, rear spoiler and rear diffuser, black exterior badging and black 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. The All-Weather Package includes Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control, heated front seats, heated steering wheel and remote engine start.
